A Thousand Horses

A Thousand Horses made history in June 2015 when the band’s debut single “Smoke” became the first for a group to reach #1 on the Country Airplay charts in the 2010s. The song went platinum and the follow-up hit “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial” also cracked Top 40 success. Both singles appeared on their debut album, Southernality, which reached #3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Over the years that followed, bandmates Michael Hobby, Bill Satcher, and Graham DeLoach put a million miles of road under their wheels. The band played hundreds of high-profile shows, touring nationwide and internationally with acts like Jason Aldean, Kid Rock, Gregg Allman, Brothers Osborne, Kendall Marvel, Blackberry Smoke, and Warren Zeiders.

Reclaiming their independence in 2022, A Thousand Horses launched a new chapter in their career with their applauded sophomore album, Broken Heartland, released via their own label Highway Sound Records. In 2024, A Thousand Horses embarked on a monumental year of touring, including Spring and Fall headline tours and international dates. That same year, they released their third full-length album, The Outside, on August 16th—featuring “A Room Full of Strangers,” co-written by Chris Stapleton, and described by American Songwriter as “a collection of song stories that detail a life measured in countless miles traveled and innumerable shows played all across a broken heartland.”
