Kat Cunning

With traffic-stopping vocals, razor-sharp wit, and an electric stage presence, Kat Cunning (they/them) is “one of today’s most fearless voices” (LADYGUNN). Praised by The New York Times for their “exquisite, indie-siren” sound and by Billboard for delivering a “rallying cry for hope and strength,” Kat has earned global acclaim for their lush pop anthems and more than 50M streams worldwide.

A multi-disciplinary artist with roots in Broadway, film/TV, and Cirque du Soleil, Kat creates narrative-driven songs built for live audiences. They’ve graced iconic stages including WorldPride NYC, OUTLOUD Fest, Firefly Festival, SXSW, and Stonewall 50th, sold out headline shows across the U.S. and Europe, and opened for artists like LP, Snow Patrol, and G Flip.

An outspoken activist, Kat has partnered with The Trevor Project, The Ally Coalition, and GLAAD; their single “Boys” was hailed by Rolling Stone as “a tribute to trans-masculine identity.” Their film and TV work continues this year with three theatrical releases, including Star People, starring Kat and featuring their original title track, alongside recent high-profile syncs in We Were Liars and Looking for Alaska. Currently, Kat is filming American Hostage, a limited series starring Jon Hamm, in Canada—alongside their cat, Julietta.
